Cindy van Atteveldt new CRO of BNG Bank

The Executive Board is pleased to announce that with effect from 15 February 2021, Cindy van Atteveldt will be the new Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of BNG Bank. Her appointment has been approved by the regulator. Cindy will succeed John Reichardt, who has been a member of the Executive Board since 2008.

Marjanne Sint, Chair of the Supervisory Board: 'We are convinced that with Cindy, BNG Bank will have a highly qualified CRO, with extensive experience in the banking sector. The Supervisory Board is pleased to be able to present her as the successor to John Reichardt, who has been of great importance for BNG Bank.'

Cindy van Atteveldt (1972) has almost 25 years of experience in the banking sector. Since 2016, she has worked as CFO/CRO at a.s.r. bank, where she was responsible for finance, risk and balance sheet management. Cindy started her career at ABN Amro in 1996, serving in various audit, risk and operations roles. She was also responsible for setting up a Risk Management department at ABN Amro subsidiary InterBank. In 2007, she moved to Credit Agricole Consumer Finance NL, where she served as CRO/COO until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, she led Kempen & Co’s Risk Management department. Cindy van Atteveldt has a degree in Information Management from Tilburg University.

With effect from 15 February 2021, the Executive Board will consist of Gita Salden (CEO), Olivier Labe (CFO) and Cindy van Atteveldt (CRO). Together with Jaco van Goudswaard (the intended Chief Operating Officer) and the yet-to-be-hired Chief Commercial Officer, they will constitute the bank’s Executive Committee.
