New CCO and acting CEO announced
18 April 2024
Peter Nijsse will start at BNG Bank on 1 May 2024, in the role of intended Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Due to the imminent departure of Gita Salden as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Olivier Labe, the bank’s current Chief Financial Officer (CFO), will serve as acting CEO from 1 June 2024. The selection procedure for the new CEO is in full swing.
Both appointments are subject to the approval of the regulator, the European Central Bank. The Works Council has already given a positive recommendation on the appointment of Peter Nijsse. Nijsse (1969) has worked at BNG Bank as Director of Treasury & Capital Markets since 2015. Before that, he worked at the Ministry of Finance for over 20 years, including three years at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC. Prior to making the move to BNG Bank, Nijsse was a deputy director at the Dutch State Treasury Agency.
Composition of the Executive Committee
As a result of these appointments, the Executive Committee will consist of the following from 1 June 2024: Olivier Labe (CFO and acting CEO), Cindy van Atteveldt (Chief Risk Officer), Jaco van Goudswaard (Chief Operational Officer) and Peter Nijsse (intended CCO).
